What a throwback! After 20+ years I’ve been working with XSLT (and XML) again. Which not only used to be a thing in Y2K times, but essentially the thing I did back then. Don’t worry, I still prefer plain HTML5, but when it comes to styling RSS, this is the go-to choice.
Now that I’m done, my XML-based feeds are human-friendly too.

Shoutout to @genmon@mastodon.social for creating »About Feeds«, which I’ve used as a base for my XSL template.
I’ve used details
/summary
for the introductory text, and put the feed URL in a read-only input field, so it can be copied more easily. Bonus points if you can find the label for the input field without #DevTools. 🙂
Another shoutout to @robb@social.lol for his blog post on the subject, and to @mxbck@front-end.social for helping me find it.
